User Cases

User Case 1 - Dorset iCoast example

iCoast is a map-based website that presents coastal and marine recreational information in Dorset.

User Case 2 - Mapping in your Amazon Kindle

Using free mapping from the OS OpenData™ service, Lovell Johns has created a range of Street Map Guides for Amazon® Kindle®.

User Case 3 - findfreemaps.co.uk

FIND wanted to make mapping more accessible and encourage wider and more imaginative use of maps and geographic information. By making use of the Ordnance Survey data available for free through the OS OpenData service, findfreemaps.co.uk successfully marries easy-to-use mapping with some of the functionality you’d normally only expect to see in a high-end geographical information system (GIS).

User Case 4 - Arcus Global Crime Statistics

Arcus has been working with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to address the issue to make OpenData more meaningful to the wider public. Jointly, they have created a solution called DataTAP, which makes it easy for the authority to publish open data from internal systems and make it useful to the average citizen.
